Via Peter Margasak, it looks like George Lewis' comprehensive history of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians is coming out next month.
It's called A Power Stronger Than Itself: The AACM and American Experimental Music, and it sounds pretty great. Exciting news for anyone interested in Chicago music, postbop jazz, art collectives, etc.
